Big Yellow Duck traveled around the world and visited 13 countries successively, which has become the focus of global attention. Holland's Florentine Hoffmann created its cute big yellow duck shape, which is deeply loved by people. Back in 2007, the giant floating sculpture of a yellow rubber duck, 26 meters high, first appeared in the port of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, causing a new wave.


As a large-scale public art project, the Yellow Duck has also brought commercial effects to local tourism and surrounding consumer markets.


This is a big yellow duck that brings back childhood memories. Florentine Hoffman started to conceive the idea of "Big Yellow Duck" as early as 2001. After 5 years of experimentation, creation, production, and proofing, "Big Yellow Duck" was finally born in 2006.


In 2007, the 26-meter-high "Big Yellow Duck" was officially launched, and then began a long exhibition tour, which successively visited 14 cities in 11 countries, including Nuremberg in Germany, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Osaka in Japan, London in the United Kingdom, and Sydney in Australia.


Follow-up caused a sensation in Hong Kong and brought great commercial value. Its copycat version of "Big Yellow Duck" once caught Florentine Hoffman into a vortex of copyright disputes.


Florentine Hoffmann, born in the Netherlands in 1977, is a conceptual artist. It is world-famous for its large-scale public art piece, the Big Yellow Duck. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kampen, the Netherlands, and graduated in 2000.


He then obtained a master's degree at the Berlin-Weissensee Academy of Arts in Berlin, Germany.


Since then, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he has been engaged in artistic projects creating giant figures in public spaces. Hoffman's works are numerous, the main works are "Three Grand Pianos" (2006 on the island of Schimonek, West Frisian Islands, Netherlands), "Big Yellow Rabbit" (2011 in Orebro, Sweden) )and many more. His work Rubber Duck has been exhibited around the world since 2007.
